I'll start, adj fap is by far the most sensible option econ wise but I've found that the mid range L faps are far more enjoyable to use and this whole paramedic skills being used is something I really love, unlocking a new fap feels like unlocking a new skill...................

I've added the paramedic profession to the chipping optimizer tool (shameless plug, hehe), so you can know how far (in peds) you are from the next fap level.

I've not had the fortune to use an Adjusted yet, although I have used an Improved.

Economy side of things, it's nice to see a cheaper repair bill at the end of a hunt, however, I find that every time the savings I would have made on a hunt would never have put me at a break-even from loss or profit from break-even situation. The cost seems to me to be always on the weapon and and ammo expenditure vs. loot returned.

Having used the UR125 un-max'd but in SIB, I have to say as I get more skilled it does get marginally better to use. Now I am getting 17 uses per minute it is starting to become more useful, but it's still a long ways from being a 'primary' fap for me.

Going forward, the biggest concern for me is the cost or markup of these FAPs twinned with a potential skill gain nerf when using them max'd. When you use a max'd weapon you get fewer skills compared to a weapon which has no SIB, as far as I can make out. I seemed to get many more skill gains using my FAP-90 than I do using the UR125, then add to that the fact that you will use the UR125 less because of it's greater healing potential means even less gains.

I've made no real conclusions as yet with regard to how I am going to proceed in the future. At the moment I feel I will continue to use my FAP-90. I get good gains in front of bigish mobs, it heals me every time and for exactly the max heal. It's dependable, relatively economical and keeps me alive in what I do. For now, the (L) FAPs, for me, look like the tool to give me the ability to take down big, hard hitting mobs that miss often when you have the skills for it, for instance; Second Entities, Atrox Stalkers, Falxangious.

Now with the right armour, those mobs aren't too difficult, with skills, to take down using a FAP 90 or similar. However, when you don't have that armour, these FAPs fill in the gap as an affordable means to enable participants to have fun on those mobs.

I guess they have different uses, adj fap is my choice for a few reasons though,

It can be repaired, which saves me looking for a replacement, having to worry about changing markups, resetting my action keys etc .
Also it being 4x cheaper to use would mean at cp and elsewhere i could cut a lot off my decay bill, which means i'll have more peds to hunt with

But i agree the L faps can be good fun, my idea is to make adj fap my primary fap, then I can always get an L fap for the times I want the extra heal, but 50 heal still puts it above many faps on heal alone.

I have always had the opinion that fap economy is too insignificant to worry about (to an extent). I don't mind spending a little more to get a higher and quicker heal, because at the end of the day my other decay bills are much higher. If I was able to use the big L faps I probably would, because I wouldn't have to tie up tens or hundreds of thousands of peds on repairable version. I think the days of the nitty gritty eco management are dwindling and people are realizing that it doesn't matter as much with the current loot system. I'm just fine with the 2600 decay, but wouldn't mind having the larger heal of the big L faps...That is, if I could even use them without having to invest tons of peds in skills.

unfortunately i think you need to be like 5 lvls above the rank it says to be able to use it 20/20.

im lvl 21 now and can use the t20 full for awhile but i think you would be atlest 19 to use it full maybe even 20

4000 US$ not used for a adj. FAP are 200 us$ interest a year or 2000 peds which would give 78 free heals a day with a EK2600.

So if you are not using your FAP more than 78 times a Day or 546 times a week, if it is a EK2600, then the interest would pay the decay and you would get this heals for free.

The decay on my 2600 is frustrating after a 100k rounds hunt. The mobs I hunt obviously have a lot to do with the fap decay but I cant seem to skill on low end mobs - at least it seems that way anyway - so I hunt formacacida's/Hoggs/Atrox OA's/kingfishers etc. Also I like to hunt something that when i loot it I get a rush each time. I just dont get that same feeling from low lvl mobs. I play for MY enjoyment after all.

I long to know what the adj fap decay would be like after one of these hunts but the price tag means ive gotta wait for that data but sure as hell ill know one day.

I do know tho that at my current skill lvl when hunting ants & hoggs, without the fap decay my hunts would be a lot healthier - i tend to come out very near to even most times specially on ants which tend to be lucky for me. Also - when considering the cost alone - as long as I dont sell for less than I bought then it can only be good surely?

Ive had the peds to buy the fap as well it was my impatience at being able to hunt the bigger mob which stopped me from buying it. I got the armour & guns first.....and inflation on my purchases proved healthy. But still, ive got very little left in the kitty now - as far as this computer game goes anyway - but I do ache for that fap...

Just used jdegre's little tool above. Now, i assum you're supposed to enter actual skill levels, not professional standings as stated, which make the numbers look right.

To triple from my current level 1200 (averge?), pro standing 16, to 3600 will cost 17K Ped it reckons, once medicine and treatment are unlocked along the way. im fairly certain that will allow me full use of the UR125 and UR175, which are both AdjFap beaters, and maybe even the UR225. Maybe Kygon can plug in skills to get a number to benchmark?

So the AdjFap might be as much as 2x over priced at 45K. Though theres probably not enough FA skills out there so the prices would rise quite quickly if lots of people explored this route.

Dare i suggest at not far above this level one would be able to use the Hedoc M450, which starts to make the ImpFap look expensive?
