Hit 2K Rifle in 3 weeks & a Wondering.....

Back form a year away as a noob & have hit 2K rifle in just over 3 weeks playing. Am trying to play as eco as possible this time around & have thus followed the advice of froum menebers & have been skilling thru the Breer L series. I am still on the M3aL & the M4aL still looks a long way off. I ve lost count of how many L rifles ive chewed through & am wondering if im heading in the right direction.
I am taking it on faith that someones has crunched the numbers in regards to decay of L weapons, increased skill gains vs unlimited weapons & that the course im on is correct....just seem to be spending lots of peds on these chuck away buggers
Second part of my question is in regards to evade. Im currently on abouut 500 & can chip that up to 1000 for under 200 peds all up. This seems insanely cheap to me as the cost (& time) it would take me to get to 1k normally would have to be greater surely?
Third part is where to go after my Shogun with 2A plates. Great & very eco but not for much longer. I have a set of Gremlin already in storage. I had Ghost in my last incarnation which i used when my evade was way too low. This plus the fact that isnt the most durable armour cost me a small fortune in decay.
Any suggestion please on armour & what level of evade roughly should i be looking at attaining b4 stepping into Gremlin or Ghost?

evade has been nerfed from what im hearing so ide say save your ped. Also since you have been gone a update changed the decay system on the armors. Long story short Ghost is very economical and a great buy.

Saying evade has been nerfed is pure

One squeaky wheel and people think the sky is falling. People talk but provide zero proof.

Evade will make you a much more efficient hunter. Spend less time reviving and more time shooting. I chipped evade twice on my way up. Best investment i ever made (got to about lvl 15 evader the second time).

Thankyou! Saying it had been nerfed made absolutely no sense to me. even if it had been nerfed/slowed you are still going to need it!

Has Ghost become more efficient or is that BS too?
& at what evade level is eco 2 step into ghost or Gremlin?

Don't know anything about any nerfs (in this area). Skill nerf was general and only effects at 5k and up (or there about).

Anyway, It think that chipping Evade/Dodge is expensive but the right way to go. You will see effects, at least I have when naturally skilling Dodge up to 2700. Robots (and other) hits less often which means that I can take down higher generations then before (with less decay and faping), which is more fun!!

As far as Ghost goes I don't have one myself but from what I have read it is the best armor in game as far as protection and price is concerned. You can get a full armor for very little markup (well maybe not Foot Guards yet).

Get a set!

As always, don't use it (or any armor) for to small mobs. When you alwas get hits for 1 you are using the wrong armor ;-) (and always use armor + plates if you can, it is better to use Shogun + 5A then Ghost +5B if you can).

Hmm, my own experience indicates to me that Evade has indeed been nerfed. Just one example: killing 'bibos with an Opalo. Previously I'd get hit 0-3 times, now I'm getting hit around 4-5 times per mob. And ofc my Evader skill has improved a little over time as well. And unless someone carried out a test over a month ago on a hundred or so mobs to get a good average and then repeated the test since the mini VU, then I can't really think of any way that it is proveable.

Not to say that Evade is useless but it's certainly my opinion that its usefulness is less than it was.

Is you ava your old one or a new one ?

Reason I ask is that things like agilityhave a large effect on your evade lvl

I personally believe that some things can become unbalanced, therefore, I think when you skill up naturally, your total skills are more balanced.

This is purely a hunch but I believe other think this too.

Personally, I would keep buying the M3a and keep on blasting. Maybe buy a p2a to skill up HG as a past time to break the monotony of slow rifle shooting

That doesn't mean evade is less effective, it mean the mob has a high hit rate. even though the are nub mobs, exasaur, combibo and cornundos all have incredibly high to-hit for their level of mob.

As discussed in other threads, they might hit you 1/3 times today, but tomorrow maybe 1/5. Thats EU. It changes.

I notice the huge benefit of evade vs mobs such as : phasm, neconu, formicacida, atrox, atrax, cornanterion, aurli, kreltin

re: armour
i think a noob in ghost+5b/6a looks just fine. That's what I did and i couldn't figure out why everyone would say 'oh but gremlin has XXX dura' when gremlin sucks. For noobs as least. 4 points impact is a huge difference when you are hit every time. It's the difference between life and death a lot of the time when your hp is <120 and you faint at the sight of atrox provider.

get a Vigi set or similar (neme?) - possible for your pocket?
i always loved my neme for its eco - and in F these armors are also still in a more or less sane price range.

Or just customize according to the mob you hunt with cheap lowlevel armors

on evade i can not say too much, never played much around there...
