Weapon Shortage?

I have had the Geotrek Taurus AL 15 maxed for some time & i have just about burnt out my 4th one.
I have been looking in auction & around the shops for an Isis LR41 or the Geotrek Auriga 20 but there seems to be a severe shortage of these two guns. The next step up in both are available but i'm not maxed on either of those.
Are there any crafters out there making either of the above mentioned guns or someone who can supply me with the AL 15 at a reasonable rate. My storage is full to the brim with components etc.

I'm trying to follow the correct skilling path but since going from the M4 to the Taurus, hunting has now become a VERY expensive excercise!

At the rate that i'm hunting atm the Taurus is costing about 1000 ped per week...youch!

Maybe i need to rethink my strategy.....

maxing a weapon doesn't necessarily mean moving to the next one as fast as possible.

you can stay at a certain weapon level as long as you want, and keep skilling using that weapon.

i have burnt hundreds of k400's and hundreds of isis cb19's, for instance, which i had maxed long before they even existed.

if you find an eco weapon that suites you, and the other higher level alternatives are really expensive, there is no problem staying at a lower level for a little longer, until more weapons become avaible.

in the meantime, you'll keep getting skills, including defensive, medical and HPs, which you will need if you plan to move to a bigger hunt level.

the isis lr41 is a looted weapon (drones,"rare" drop).

i agree there is a shortage of weapons at that lvl, and personally think the markup is too high on some of those weapons.

Another option for you is to switch weapon class for a while until you hit the SIb on a higher level weapon....while in SIb it does give you skills but will cost you more due to less dmg @ missed shots. Comfortable levels found when you max the p5 and manis470. Unfortuantely for those of us stuck in (L) (which, if you are smart and eco, you will be till at very minimum level 60) we rely on crafters, and crafters rely on getting the bp (see my thread re:hoipus). Sometimes there are much cheaper and widely available alternatives.

The LR 32 is slightly more widely available as well, i've been using and the 41 whenever i can. Thing is, you just have to bite the bullet and buy whatevers there cos unfortunately, not many are looted. Not sure why more crafters dont make the auriga.

I've noticed a shortage of (L) weapons dropping lately as well. Over the past month I've looted a lot less Korsses, and the listings for many mid-sized guns such as LR41, Manis etc have become much shorter. Even shops seem to have lower stocks or higher prices than a month ago.

MA has put two controlling ores in most good mid-high level guns:

Adomasite and Hansidian.

These two ores are in very high demand and are both 1k%+. This makes pretty much anything that uses them uncraftable or very uneco.

The other thing is Advanced Target Assessment Units are all being crafted into p5as, ie the new kross. So anything that uses those is not going to beable to compete with its eco.

I have too agree as well. I am at around 3550 skills on both hand and rifle skills And have found for me too get SIB has become too expensive too use the L guns. at 250 ped TT plus a 150% markup just makes them too expensive too use. I am sticking too my MKII justi.. and 33 ultra and ep 43 guard as backup. Untill they either come down in price..or something replaces them

1000 ped a week is simply too much for me.. I dont mind depo'ing but i think a line has too be drawn some where..
