Unlimited weapons when to use them?

Hi

I have been climbing the (L) ladder for some time now. I got some UL weapons but they are not maxed untill lvl 100. Im no where near that and it will take me years to get there. I want to start using them soon, but my friends tell me that the lower lvl you are the harder the impact will be on the eco to use a UL wearopn.

Now to my questions.

1. When is it good to use a UL weapon some where betwen 0.0/10.0 and 10.0/10.0 but where?

2. I want youre Thoughts on what is the best UL weapon to use for some all around hunting is there a differens in weapons to maximise the hunting of Mobs and Bots, or is it just to use the same one?

3. What is a good PvP PK weapon, acording to you.

I personally will never use an unlimited weapon again, i will only use L as they are tons better.

^^ There you can calculate your personnel eco on all kind of weapon. Just enter the markup you pay for limited weapons and your HA and damage interval for unlimited weapons.

Due to the markup you have to pay for limited weapons there will be a time when unlimited weapons will be more eco for you. Will you still prefer to you L-weapons then? Hard to believe....

I rarely use L weapons (only when looted) and see no huge difference in my finances because of it. Buy whatever you like and play with it a while, there's a lot out there (Avoid the EWE 38 Night Special it decays like a bitch).

To answer your question, you can use an unlimited weapon with low skills; I'm 10/10 on an Isis and 03/10 on my UL handguns/rifles and miss often with both. I've got 5.3k longblades, gives 3.3/10 on a determination, lets me kill Hogglos; so doesn't miss that much. I get just as many crits on my 2.8/10 Fusil Arabesque as the "L" T10 I looted; if there is a difference I can't see it without hard maths, which ain't what I do when playing games

I know this sounds like heresy but at least it's something you can try with little or no loss.

UL guns I'd avoid; Most of the small ones.
Try some of the Shrieks, the EWE-40 and the Karma Killer; FreanD Delta and Maddox IV when you wanna blow some PED and deal big damage. Rifles to consider would be the Fusils, the Justy Mk III, The GDC or even stuff like the Heimdall or Cold Ir (I would KILL for an Odin lol).
Melee, avoid low-end Enblades (slow as hell) and skip straight from RepEdge to Katsuichi, making the leap from Valor to Determination as fast as you like.
Thorifoid battle mace is also worth getting; a little costly to buy at the moment, but once you got it, it's a three-foot skilling machine

A lot is said about Eco, but when I started there wasn't much talk of it. The lack of concern I show for it doesn't seem to have made me poor yet, just my two Pecs

Oh and for a low-skills pk gun the only real option is the biggest Marber you can find + E-amp 15 and hope for a crit. Other than that, a good few people have been caught unawares by an amped Maddox IV; anything that will kill anyone important though will cost you quite a few thousand PED.

Started using a A3 Justifier MKII + E-Amp 12when i was still way below level 10. Really not at all economical, but was the only affordable solution for me to hunt Allophyl.
Crafted some Mann MPH Dlx and kept one, because it was slightly faster than an Opallo and did not use more ammo.
Rarely used any (L) in the meantime, could not see any more skill gain or better economy.

i will still be using L items yes. Read that other thread about L guns for example to know why. But i also think there are more reasons to use L weapons that in that thread.

I don´t need to read "that" thread and I don´t even know what is meant with "that" thread. I know I´m going to use unlimited weapons when I´m able ecowise and then I will see and I doubt I will be disappointed.

I'll start using UL rifles when I'll reach the 70 lvl in laser sniper.
In the next 10 years maybe (considering I'm only 42 now) .

Never use the (UL) ones!

It doesnt matter eco wise what i use!

Stick to the (L) ones!

It doesnt realy make any differans skillwise!

Therefor use the (UL)!

If i say that you are two different playerstyles giving me two diferent types of info. Do i get it wrong then?

I wanted to get a clear message like "do like this and you are guaranteed success" Because i do not like calculating. I probobaly have to make up my own mind in this case. Thanks for the advices you have given me.

If you have any good info that you want to share whit me and the EF readers pleas keep posting here i sure would need more to make up my mind. I do like the (L) but i dont want to let my (UL) ones just sitt on a shelf and rust away.

Ehm... I think you got that wrong.
Or at least a lot of people have a different opinion that Legion.

But the answer to your first question is hard to answer in general terms, since it depends on a lot of things such as:
- Type of UL gun
- Markup on the L alternative
- Your skills
- Type of mob (etc etc)

Play around with the various tools, and see for yourself.
www.entropedia.info is another great place to find info.

If you want more precise answers, you should be more specific about your options.
