Whilst the maths prove it costs less to kill an identical mob using an Axxx amp over an Eamp series, alot of this thread had turned into a " do you loot better and skill better with an Eamp"....

I personally believe this 100%. look at other proven FACTS of EU and it doesn't seem too hard to believe that it can be true.

Star uses attachments,
Jimmy got more loot from ambu when he spent more to kill em

both these statement are related to the use of Eamps as they decay more, meaning more skills, and costs more to kill a mob meaning better loot

Would I use em, probably not as I'm not sure whether the increase in skill and loot fully counter balances the extra costs although I have'nt tested it so won't state otherwise.

I remember a person dismissing a statement I made as incorrect because I had no facts about it, but that same person has damned the idea that Eamps give better loot and higher skills. Sometimes, mathmaticians and physicists look so hard for FACTS they look right past the unexplainable TRUTH

The conclusion from that experiment was that loot improved if you dealt more DAMAGE, by letting the mob regenerate before killing it.
It's sorta the same thing as killing a bigger mob.

It has nothing to do with getting better loot by using crappier gear, as you insinuate.

I think the main thing Jimmys experiment explained that it was a realy bad idea not to loot the mobs that you killed

Yeah, if anything, his study vindicated economizing with high dmg/pec.

A note about skills. Most say they have no TT-value, and I guess they don't.
At least not a value we can grab.
Who knows for sure, that we don't "pay" for our skillgain?
Can anyone be 100% sure that skillgain isn't a part of the loot?
I've had runs with all sorts of comb with good loot and good skillgain, and
bad loot and bad skillgain.
So instead see odd combs with good loot and bad skillgain and vice versa
next run, maybe skillgains just are parts of the lootsystem?
That it has a value that is comparable with a tt-value, which lowers the
payout value we see when we get loot, and a value we can't see in inventory?
It's like a markup, we pay for it but don't actually have the value reachable?
If it is like this, maybe one reason why at least I have way better skillprogress
with eamps then the ordinary amps. And worse ordinary loot.
If it is like this, we actually get "loot" in all actions that gives us skills.
