A-amps are more eco, see: http://entropedia.info/Chart.aspx?chart=Attachment
And they're not dropping anymore so, they're starting to get quite expensive. |

(Check the eco of all the amps on entropedia.info) The thing about those A-amps is, that their eco is so uberish, that it's almost unbalanced. If you use a laser gun, always use the biggest A-amp it can use fully... And that you can afford. They really improves the eco a lot. |

People are of the delusion that a-class are cheaper to use. What hasn't been disproved yet is the theory that the e-class give better loot, hence nulling all eco arguments. Period.
As they are rarer that somehow makes them 'better'. "Rarer" as in better, as in "rarer" steak as in "moo" as in "hoof in face if you try to eat me". People also like to pay ridiculous amounts of money just to neglect other people the joy of using something. Want an example? Look up Mod Imk II. /dome 4 stress |

my MM amped with a204 is 4.44, with eamp15 4.10. i get .34 less damage per pec i spend and at 16 ammo + decay a shot at 86 attacks a minute, that .34 will eat a whole through your wallet. eamp is a pk amp imo. course, ppl hunt with pk guns these days, i.e. foe, rj and strikes, some amped with evil. but i'd not suggest that to your everday run of the mill fresh off the boat types. (which you seem to be.) good for events maybe, but for everyday hunting, stick with a series amps if you know what's good for ya. |

Very interesting, all the answers are. Good food for thought. However, are we stepping over dollars to pick up pennies? I am not aruging with anyone just giving another opinion. The largest a-amp I saw for sale was the 105, which yields 16 dmg and the price is +way to much(I think is was like 2500ped). The e15 does 23 dmg for a way lot less, like plus 30 - 50 or less, I think( I paid +26 for mine). How long would it take, hunting everyday. to make up 2450 ped in the difference of pecs of the decay of both? Moreover how many times have you had a big mob on the ropes and get a critical hit, die, and have to TP back, try to find him, kill him using extra ammo because he has healed some while you are healing, TPing and finding him again. What I am saying, would the 7 extra dmg on each shot mean that the mob gets killed before you get that last critical hit, die and have to do what I memtioned above. I agree if you are not hunting big mobs the extra dmg shouldn't make a difference for either +16 or +23 dmg, I do think it does if you are hunting bigger mobs. If it takes 10 or more hits to kill the mob you are hunting the e-15 will yield 70 more dmg than the a105 assuming all things are equal.
As I said this is just another thought brought to the table. I am sure it will not be shared by all and that is fine with me. I like hunting the bigger mobs and I burn the ammo and the amps and it is all just fun. Coz If at first you don't succeed, deposit. Last edited by CozMoDan; 05-17-2008 at 06:12. |
