Musing about upcoming craftable weapons

Level 11 weapon bps that have a spot in the book now:
Omegaton Caus Tik (L) Blueprint
Omegaton Bur Ning (L) Blueprint

Caustic and burning, very clever.

So, we have a fire and an acid damage weapon. Judging by the other names of the new BP slots and the new drops this VU, i guess they will mostly be swords. Anyone care to conjecture about why so many melee weapon bps are level 11+ (and conversely, why so many of the 11+ level weapon bps are for melee weapons) and anything else about the new weapons?

Is a new era of melee dominance coming? Surrender, all ye gunmen...

Dont worry, MA will make the prints take absurd amounts of ado, hands, chamalon, or the new ores. They will be unprofitable to click compared to the looted counter parts just like all the weaps above manis/p5a. Nothing to worry about as they wont be clicked.

It is possible that my alma mater completely misled me. Are you saying that caustic doesn't mean "a substance that burns or destroys organic tissue by chemical action" e.g. a strong base or acid?

GeoTrek H1051 Kisf (L) Blueprint
GeoTrek H1071 Otk (L) Blueprint

I think the Geotrek H1K-series will be a long range shooter. Something along the lines of impff8k....

Lvl13:
Omegaton Full Spectrum Sword (L) Blueprint
Omegaton Kaleidoscopic Nightmare (L) Blueprint

The full range of elemental dmg, 1/4 fire, 1/4 ice, 1/4 lightning and 2/8 acidic. Both Longblade and Shortblade version.

Lvl12, Omegaton Chillwind (L) Blueprint, Omegaton Frostbite (L) Blueprint, Omegaton Jupiter (L) Blueprint & Omegaton Lighting Dagger (L) Blueprint are the ice and lightning version of the Fire and Acid long- and shortblades that you already mentioned in lvl 11 bps.

Opening up for mobs with weaknesses and strenghts against certain dmg-types with the new mob-changes?

They're just balancing the game a bit, there was a big need for high end melee weapons - lets hope they haven't forgotten the powerfists, I want an reworked smacker 3
