As a hunter i have few different weapon I use and I switch as I get bored or need a change. Two of the ones I use most reguarly are also my two favourites, my Karma Killer and the good old HL6 L ( my current SIB pistol ).
Click to enlarge I read alot about the better eco of L weapons over UL weapons so i decided to do a little experiment for interests sake. Before I start I know this is not a perfect experiment and I'm sure people will pick holes in it, but it was just done out of curiosity. Basically I went on 2 hunts, one with the HL6 and one with the Karma Killer. Both 20k ammo and both at a fav hunting spot of mine E of Rei's on Allo and provider only to keep some consistancy, make note of skill gain and decay and then compare the 2. Here are the results ( poor loot on both hunts - but it happens) Hunt 1 - HL6 (L) Decay = 58.44ped Hangun skill increase = 37 Inflict Ranged dmg increase = 4 Loot = 95.39ped ( tt value only ) Hunt 2 - Karma Killer Decay = 50.96ped ( inc all attachments ) Hangun skill increase = 28 Inflict Ranged dmg increase = 3 ( very close to 4 ) Loot = 88.06ped ( tt value only ) So in the end they work out pretty even really. HL6 is a bit more expensive to use but gives better skill gain. So make ur choice based on ur own preference. I realise it will or at least should change when I max the HL6, so I will run it again then and see how it affects it. Would like to hear others opinions on this. Like I said earlier it was just done out of interest and I love both these weapons, just thought it was interesting. |

Well, i honestly think ur HA on the karma is way below what i'd even think of using it at. I think u will soon see how a single unlucky day can ruin u on non L
the misses r bad enuff, but the min dmg will do u in, pay attention ot the number of subpar hits u get on it, even at almost lvl 40 dmg here i still find it abysmal. Still would like to c this experiment pan out, gl on it ![]() PS. good advice maybe next time I can keep count of the amout of mobs killed by each with the 20k ammo, that would help track the misses and difference in damage.

What I find kinda funny is that I actually do not miss more often using UL guns that I miss using maxed L guns... At least with UL gun I use on regular basis. There is some difference with damage interval, as minimum dam on L gun seems to be slightly higher than with comparable UL gun...

I've honestly never noticed a difference between the 2 guns which is why I did the experiment. I've been using the KK for a couple of months as my main weapon but also using SIB weapons P5a, scrot, HL6. I didn't like the
p5a much, only used it till i maxed it out, i was happy to move on from it, but the scrot and HL6 are really good guns. I will definetly take any advice i am given into consideration for the next round after I max the stats on the HL6. I really appreciate the suggestions. Any suggestion on what mob I should use, something with a slow regen rate that will not let the KK's speed be an advantage? |

The dps is higher on KK only when maxed ... if u still have sib on HL6 u are at lower the 3.0 HA on KK that makes the HL6 to have higher dps then KK due to damage not beeing maxed and more misses
HL6 is better then KK on every mob u hunt. I used HL6 on feffs but that was before the new HP/regen increase ... u can try med atrax med argo and armax IMO |

Next time, i recommend you use the damage parser witte wrote. It can be downloaded from the downloads page on the wiki, and will keep track of how many times you hit the mobs (and the damage done). Then, you can calculate the actual dmg/pec of each weapon.
Unless people have done a number of tests using some quantitative tool like that, don't believe what they say about effective HA being the same. Each time someone has actually done a quantitative test and reported it, there's been a pretty direct scaling between HA and hit %. |

Another simple way of testing which gun is more efficient is to count the number of kills, and determine the total cost. Although you also need to keep track of maturities. Using loot as basis is very unrelyable as loot changes a lot over time.
