Yes - just went down this route last night after my M2a broke , was using 102 amp with it. The new configuration works well, i have referred to it in another post relating to the Riker UL3

Also markup on M3a seems acceptable, much more so than the UL3, don't take this as a reason to increase the markup though Photon

Yes, the eco is still slightly better with A102 though. It depends whether you're after dmg/sec or dmg/pec. Depends whether you're after economy or speed primarily; I'm only using M3a for tagging and the first few shots at the moment so I've chosen economy. But the bigger amps may be worth it if you're using M3a as your only gun!

I noticed you trying to sell the combo together in your shop. Best prices around for Breer as far as I can tell. Nice one

I haven't advertised it fully yet, but I've moved all of the unlimited weapons and attachments to my new shop in Twin Peaks Mall. From now on, you'll find everything I can craft of a Limited nature in Twins, and everything else (high end like maddox, karma etc.) in Treasure Island.

But yes, if it's dmg/sec, go for the e-amp 12, but you will lose a tiny bit of eco. Personally, I wouldn't mind that. Hence the low markup on the M3a ... I'm trying to sell E-amp 12s too.

I brought up Photon's shop not Photon himself. So if anyone started the off-topicness it was myself, and anyway as this thread is about the economy of limited weapons and Photon sells nice cheap limited weapons its not exactly way off-topic...

There is lots of great info in this thread.

However, the first person to create a web page where you enter at the top:

(a) A weapon class, e.g. laser carbine
(b) Your HA and CHA for that class, e.g. 3.0 & 5.5

and then you click OK and it lists (sorted by economy, markups of weapons and amplifiers grabbed from peauction) all the laser carbines, both L and non-L (using the 8%/20% rule for misses), with all the possible amps... WILL BE GOD!

We have enough info and skills to make this but afaik it hasn't happened...

(and if the webpage allowed you to type all your different HAs and CHAs for a range of weapons - and then display every singe weapon in the game - it would be the best thing since the Opalo!)
