Failure to Launch

This has happened twice since I started skilling rockets. I fire weapon, and rocket emerges, and stops, staying suspended while blasting exhaust out the tail. I didn't bug report it, it's more of a curiousity

I have had this happen. But to be honest I was so disappointed with the crappy projectile weapons I sold mine back in auction and won't touch them again.

I don't know if you have ever fired and RPG or any type of shoulder mounted unguided missile but they do not drop over distance like the ones in EU. I love having to aim like 40 meters over the top of the mobs head with a guess to hit anywhere near it.

Ahh, see you thought you bought a rocket launcher, when it fact you bought a rocket decoy launcher. Your supposed to fire the rocket and run like hell, hoping the mob will get distracted by the rocket decoy and stick around long enough for it to explode.

Ya know, thats not a bad idea for a weapon...sort've like a landmine...place it, tag the mob and aggro it into the blast zone.

I've had the luck to have fired a few in my time, and it really does depend on the munition. A M203 grenade launcher does have to be aimed way above target, since it's propelled by an single charge, like a bullet, not a continuous burn like a rocket. I've even fired the shoulder mounted AT4, which is a one-shot rocket launcher with a range of only 300 meters or so. Again, you do have to correct the aiming point for distance.

Agree 100% - fired more than a few in combat operations... definately have to correct for distance. If you don't have to, you are too close
