"Repair-bar" for weapons

How many here has ever set out to kill a mob just to have the gun/sword break with 5% HP left?

I have an idea!

Why can't MA just add a small bar under the "Ammo" in that little window that is down to the left of the healthbar, which would show a number with how many times the weapon/tool can be used before breaking?

Like this:
Ammo: 3539
Uses: 64

Would be especially helpful for melee-people

Especially poor ones who can't run around with 2-3 swords fully repaired all the time

Also, please bump this thread

I can see where this would be useful for many... but I can live without it. Perhaps being a professional soldier for 17+ years made me used to conducting pre-combat checks... which include checking my weapon

I like the thought but I also like the way such things are not always clear. The good player will be careful. Thats how it works. Yes add ons are nice but if you make the game too easy then it takes off the fun

Yeah but if you know you need 3 hits with a sword to kill a creature and you don't have money to repair it it would be good to know if you have enough tries left to try it

Indeed useful. Especially with all the (L) weapons that break at some time and without notice.
