The money mate. In a case or other, u have the choice between paying for ur crime or fighting (who will cost money indeed). All crimes must be punished. Let say, after 10 infractions, the dude will get bored to be flaged all time and paying. He will stop automatiquely (or find an another way to fraud).

For exemple, i scamed u. Its proven by chat log and MA records of a trade.
Im flaged and in infraction. But im so loow skilled than im sure i will loose against u. I dont have realy big money but i know a Hired gun who accept lil money. He is a good guy with experience, i trust him.
So u can decide to fight him or use an hired gun too. If my Hi-g win, the fraud is deleted but the system give u the equivalent of money u payed in ammo and decay (to be just). Me, i won nothing, and i payed the hired gun so... I will not immediately restart the same fraud It can bring the MA super cop bot

But, if u win: first u are happy. Second, u loot one part of gear of the hired gun. Third my dishonoured

Thats realy rough but i invit u to work it.

Same system as against empire. U can use hired gun. And damn, it can be realy fun. At least it will brake scamm and shits ingame a lil bit.

Ofc thise idea is realy rough and can be cleverly worked to be "possible" and the most funny as possible.
I count on ur help for that Indeed we need to stay in the scifi far west mood of the game.

Edit: I know it can be very long, especialy to defin the infractions. We need to find a regulation who can stop realy stupid scams and abuses but let a major freedom. It very very difficult i know.
Ok, I am starting to understand.

An infraction against MA would most likely end in a ban, I don't think MA would send Marco with his uber weapon...

or maybe...hmmmm...

The sun glistens off the shiny surface of the teleporter. Atlas Haven has not seen rain in years and the slightest breeze stirs up tiny whirlwinds of dust with ease. A lone figure materializes from the teleporter, all heads turn to see the newcomer. Silence decends on the streets as one by one the settlers recognize the powerful and confident posture and piercing gaze. Marshall Marco has come to town.

Without a word he heads towards the saloon, his spurs gleaming in the sun. Stepping up to the entrance, he pauses to let his eyes asjust to the darkness inside the saloon, then steps inside.

The saloon is empty, save the bartender and a single patron sitting in the far left corner, hidden by the shadows but not unnoticed by the marshall. Marco steps up to the bar, "whiskey" he orders. The bartender looks around nervously at his empty shelves and replies "s-s-sorry marshall, we ain't got no delivery. Dem badits been robbin all the transports of whiskey."

Marco does not reply, he turns away from the bar to face the stranger sitting in the dark corner. The bartender seizes the opportunity and runs out the front door into the street.

The stranger in the corner has not said a word or moved a muscle since the marshall came in, but now he is trembling. Marshall Marco fixes him with his steely blue eyes, and slowly brushing his master coat back away for his gun, he speaks.

"Are you the cowboy known as JimmyB?" His voice is low but in the empty saloon it sounds like a bull whip snapping. "Y-y-y-yes" stammers the stranger and he slowly rises to his feet. His shaking legs barely able to support his weight.

"You have been accused of spreading rumors and stealin horses. How do you plead?" Marco's hand slowly moves down until his fingetips are gently caressing the butt of his .36-caliber Navy Colt.

Jimmy's eyes follow the motion, sweat now dripping from his forehead. His own hand, still in the shadow is also moving, to the .44-caliber pistol tucked into his belt at base of his back.

Silence, the two men face each other. the only sound is the wind blowing tumbleweed down the street.

Jimmy, his muscles tense with fear, twitches. In the blink of an eye the Navy colt appears in Marco's hand as if by magic. The marshall fires a single shot that throws Jimmy back into the corner. The marshall steps closer, Jimmy is sprawled in the corner, the small red dot in his shirt slowing spreading. As the light slowly fades from his eyes, Jimmy hears the marshall whisper. "Guilty"

His job complete, the marshall walks back out of the saloon onto the dusty streets. The settlers have come out and are slowly gathering at the saloon. The marshall, ignored for the specatcle that is drawing everyone to the saloon, heads back to the teleporter. He pauses only briefly when he encounters the bartender and hisses, "Next time, there better be whiskey."
Then turns and steps into the teleporter. As quickly as he appeared, he is gone and justice has once more prevailed.

The end.

Now if only i had better writing skills, i could write the first Calypso Western.

Now, im not sure its a good idea that MA staf come to punish. Better way to use a bot with stronger AI.

Thats cool the idea start to be developed. Once she will be correct in technics way, when we will made a concret list of infractions and punishements, then i will suggest it to Mindark.

Ofc, she need to be basic due to a possible implementation ingame without an entire century of coding.

She can proly go to recycle bin too but i hope we can do something cool.

Sure, but I think it would take quite some effort to implement an MA bot with a smart enough AI to to the job. Besides, it would be more fun for MA employees to do the punishing ingame themselves.

Indeed. But they will have a lot of work lol. The MA bot (like a warlock) is used in extrem conditions only for big frauds.
In Other case, Its real player vs real player.
If its a crime against MA rules > MA choose a player in Hire guns data base randomely and send him an email of convocation.
If its a crime against player > MA do nothing, only players do. But , if the problem became too big, MA send the ultime punisher > Warlock Inquizitorz.
