I posted a thread like this on another MMORPG board that ended up getting 7 of the ideas posted into the game and they became very popular additions. One of the reasons this happened is because literally 100s of people got involved brainstorming the ideas and refined them down to workable constructs that the game developers could implement.

Those same ideas were strung about the boards but got lost in the shuffle. But when they were brought together into one thread they got alot more attention and eventually even the game Developers posted ideas and refinements in the thread.

I was hoping for some of the same results here.

But if EFD is your concern have 711 lock that function on this thread (if that is possible) or you can have 711 remove any EFD I make on this thread if that is your main objection.

It really doesn't matter to me.

My point is: that's what the WishList forum is for. You just explained the purpose of it. So I am asking: since we already got a entire forum for this issue why you make a thread for exact the same thing?

I kinda agree with you, but why dont you just ignore it, and let it be I really dont understand why it bothers you at all

Anyways, I would like to see bars, gyms, stadiums.

Bars - they would have minigames(pool, darts, pinball, etc...) also dancefloors and on the second floor of these bars there would be apartments

Gyms - you could pay a visit to the gym to get some general skills and attributes, (I dont know how it would work, but hey, just a thought )

Stadiums - for some huge pvp events


Theres too many things I'd like to see, but they are dumb or useless to some

Stadiums would be cool. In the last Fantasy based MMORPG I played they had several large arenas and I never once seen them used save for occasionally an NPC would leave a chest on the arena floor and shout he did so across the zone. Then all sorts of people would rush to try and grab the chest.

Seemed ashame that's all that ever seemed to happen there.

The GYM idea was sorta used in one of the very first MMORPGs I played in. The had things like fencing dummies you could skill up on.

I think your gym idea would be an interesting addition. MA could introduce equipment that would grant skill gains, off course they would decay with use.

The creatures would be dropping loot on par with that other game I play, No matter what creature you kill, you will always at least make your ammo back and 50% of your armour and weapon decay - I'd still make money, I'd introduce some more decay causing things to compensate

In no particular order:
  • Fencing Dummies for training skills
  • Traps
  • Mines (Land Mines, Proximity Mines, Timed Mines)
  • The DUNE monster
  • Personal Repair and Ammo Recharge Terminals
  • Invisibility and Chameleon Chips
  • Blizzard Chip
  • The Kazark and Behemoth from the early days
  • More Plasma Rifles and Handguns, with L versions
  • All items wear down to 0.1%
  • Rare items cannot be sold or traded at the Trade Terminal
  • Bank Withdrawls and Deposits
  • Weekly Paycheck, like that other virtual world
  • Robot Factory Missions (Destroy the Factory)
  • More docile creatures
  • Mentor and Disciple get gifts each
  • More noticeable benefit from skillgains
  • Revise the EULA, to make it better
  • Put in a "create a quest" system, with options like gathering resources, hunting things, escorting someone etc, as an addon to the event system.
  • New players start with clothing fully repaired and with a Baton, in the same condition
  • Lower transport costs at auction by 10-20%
  • Open up a third continent and rest of 2nd continent
  • Ability to ride Allophyl (And tame them)
  • Sweat Globals...
  • Creatures in desert environments drop a bit more sweat than others
  • Sweat People
  • Urban PVP
  • PVP - CTF (Capture the flag - A flag could be placed in 2 buildings or 2 other areas and two teams try to capture each others flag)
  • PVP - Hunter Mode (A player becomes a creature (prey) , who the other players try to hunt down, the first to kill the prey becomes that creature next and would be teleported away from the others, The prey can bite, scratch and charge though )
  • Crafting COS 15% higher than currently
  • Ability to find more than one deposit with the same bomb and mine them both
  • Jellyfish... Make them sweatable too... 97% water would mean...
  • Transportation in the form of Bikes, Trains, Spacecraft (with views of them actually taking off) , The already mentioned Allophyl, Cars and other things.
  • I'd make sure our facial expressions came back
  • Random containers with random contents (Could be PED, Items, Ammo, etc)

Your Opening paragraph is an excellent idea! I think MA would benefit greatly if they had as system that always gave loot but raised the decay like you said. It could drop the frustration level a bit.

And I especially like the Quest addition. I've played other games with systems akin to your quest suggestion and they seemed to be popular functions.
