An Ignore "avatar's chat" functionality.

Do you think it would be handy/usefull/preferable to have the ability to completly ignore an avatar's chat?

Please feel free to vent your opinions about it after you have voted...

This idea was originated from this thread i posted, and thought a graphical output would be nice to see for all...

For crikies sake, dont say spamming.
It's called "FLOODING".
Spamming is done by email.
Flooding is constantly posting lines in an open chat.

If I got a pec every time I see some moron at PA say to stop spamming, I'd be uberduper rich!

So, one final time, it's called flooding, not spamming, FLOODING!

Ignore lists may be useful sometimes, but they tend to backfire if you forget to take someone off in time.

I'd rather have a trade channel which I could turn off when I'm not out for trading.

i really want 1 i played diablo 2 lod alot and it had a sqeuls button for irritating bots and spammers and the chat really looks more organized with activating it at some players

well in a way when i sell something i flood a bit myself (bout once a minute same mesage)
i dont know about ignore list or anything... but i also think there should be sort of trade chat or something

I would love the ability to ignore an avatar's main chat output..
They got some spammers/flooders tha have the most annoying "advertisments" or they post their message far too often.

It woul dbe much nicer if you can ignore it perhaps with a command in main chat like /ignore <avatar name>
Where this command would ignore thier spew for the duration of your session.
Even better would be a/forget option where you permanantly ignore any kind of communication from that avatar until you /remember them.

Any kind of communication being any chat, as well as chat/trade requests. as well as never seeing thier globals/hofs in the chat window.

but still with ignore button as some make stupid mega adds or post 3 things at same time with 2 lines each

Hell yea.
A general chat ignore option is definately the thing I miss the most.

It'd be cool to be able to directly send messages ingame to users you dont have in your friendlist.

Like you go to a special terminal or NPC, input the avatar's full name, write your message, and send it, which could eventually cost a little per send, like 50pec, that could delete any form of abuse. The message would appear in an info window like the ones when you get notifyed of things at auction, or when you enter in LAs.

This could be really useful if you need to get fastly in contact with a said person, for trading or meeting.
