Hotkey Chat Modes

Well I had just logged on the game from the forum, when I had a great Idea (Well I think It Is! ) So here I am again posting this...

Its a very basic and useful Idea. All I want Is to be able to "Hotkey" the chat modes. So for example, I could assign "number pad" 1 key to all chat. (Cant remember the proper name for the number pad on the far right of the keyboard, but you know what I mean...).

So pressing "num pad 1" would focus chat to "Local Chat". So you could assign "num pad 2" to "Society Chat" to focus chat to there.

Its different from the /s function, as that only sends that message to the chat. This way you can turn the chat on full focus without having to click it. Useful for longer chats when using 2 chat sections. Especially while hunting.

Anyway, there's bigger priorities, but I thought It'd get It on paper so to speak before I forgot

What a good idea. Shame my laptop doesnt have a num pad. Also, i believe its called a numerical keypad .

Some of the chat changes so far are good.

I love the fact that PM chat doesnt automatically stay focused when you hit enter but holy crap is it annoying when someone opens a PM or Trade window on you when you have your head down typing!!
All of a sudden your running off into the mobs with 30 pop up screens!!
I cant type and watch the screen at the same time to save myself so i normally dont find out till atleast 4 or 5 windows are open.

And if it happens when you are pasting from PEAss look out!!

Exactly how they find the middle ground on that i wouldnt know.

The type disappearing when you change chat regions is a bit of a pain too because i tend to realize i`m typing in the wrong color when i`m half way through or ready to post it.

I guess i could learn to type better too

I like the idea. Could be useful when youre talking in team chat and soc chat.

Haha, I can type without looking at the keyboard most of the time but I still manage to do this!

Glad you all seem to like the Idea ;D

Oh, I also dont like the fact you can't change chats after you've typed somethiing, without loosing It now ... Maybe Its just a bug
