Use for basic filters

I think i would be a good idea to have a use for basic filters. Maybe they could be used in a new tool or weapon BP. This would help new crafters to reduce losses while getting skills. Since basic filters are cheap a quantity of 100 could easily be used in a new BP.

But why stop there , every single component should have a use , I still don't get why so many things are not used to craft others

I don't think it would make much difference, to be honest. Filters are so cheap and easy to make, and pretty much every crafter has the BP, so it'd be hard to sell them even if they were used for something.

There is TT junk for skilling in every crafting profession, though I suppose components have more than their fair share of useless ones.

Yea thats off course true , but as you said in the end why not?
They could go for 101% to 103% like the damn oils and be used on some item ....

A good comparison is the Basic Tube BP. It's a good metal mech skilling BP as it's very cheap per click (the cheapest there is if I remember rightly), but not totally useless as it's used in the Kesmek Slo BPs. I would think 99.99% of basic tubes still go in the TT but some of them find their way to a better life as part of a nice sword.

This one's also interesting because the Kesmek Slo was only introduced relatively recently, and until then the Basic Tube was completely useless expect for pure skilling purposes. So there is a precedent for this happening. Perhaps Basic Filters will be used to make one of the new higher-level L powerfists which will surely arrive before too long.

The reason I am trying to do the test is to find out if it would be worth it for a higher level crafter to make the basic filters or ir it would be better for a higher level crafter to buy them from a low level crafter.(see basic filter test)If a crafter wanted to do a run of 100 weapons and each weapon needed 100 filters as part of the of the materials that would be 10k filters. This would make work for a few lower level crafters.

maybe, one day, the basic water filtration system blueprint will drop and it'll require 2K basic filters, 3K basic tubes, and a pile of other junk.
