where are the promised footguards?

I think I already answered that. No, I don't feel there were enough looted. How could there be? There still are 0 Supremacy F, 1 Eon M and F, 0 Chron F, 0 Sentinel M and F in EU. Last I checked, there were more sets than that of those armors.

I personally haven't looted too many footguards either. 2 Boar M, 1 Vain M, 1 Salamander M, and maybe 1 or 2 others that I can't think of. That's really not much compared to the amount that I hunt. I'd say there are more to come though, but I am not disappointed in the droprate - as I said in a prior post, I'm immune to being upset with MA now. Just roll with the punches ladies and gentlemen, there are good and bad things in all VU's.

Lets be realistic here guys, if MA could afford to drop foot guards for EVERYONE who already has a set, how the hell would they be able to pay for Marco's vacations every couple weeks? Geeze, you guys are so selfish.

Some of the posts accuse others of whining about lack of foot guards.

SO I will do my best not to whine.

I did my research, both here and in the Wiki, to find out how to get the 4 feet I Want.

One set I need is goblin, and as I never use it, and only keep it because the set is the first (no longer) full set of armour I ever looted. Goblin feet will arrive in their own good time.

OF the 3 feet I actually need to get my sets complete, one set is crafted.

Ghost feet are out of the question. They make rocking horse shit look common, and gold look cheap.

Vigi feet are claimed to loot from several mobs, and I know soc mates who have looted it, but I could not loot a V, let alone Vigi. Getting the full word to arrive in my loot window seems like a pipe dream. I do accept the fact the I bought the rest of my Vigi, so I accept I will probably have to buy the feet as well.

Shogun on the other hand, is a different matter. Since the feet were introduced I have looted more shogun parts than I can remember the number of. No feet though.

Other armours?

No feet.

I can understand why feet are such an emotive issue, as I have not looted any feet of any type.

Not even pixi.

I did Hoggs and Kretlins for a month trying to loot something big to sell to get my lowly Boar footies - since I couldn't get those to drop in the month before that. Remember, the boots were never about protecting our feet - it was a way to get us out there using more ammo and racking up more decay ($$ for MA). They're not going to drop them regularly until the cash cow has dried up. Simple economics, not what we want.

Besides, I am sure it worked out better for them than they had planned it...most everyone went out and wasted butt loads of $ to try to loot the new footguards they creatively forced us to have to use. I am sure they are very thankful for all your extra deposits, I for one am continually delighted at all the new ways they come up with

+rep to MA for all their new and creative schemes the last couple of years...just a little here and a little there kind of like a leach. They have to spread these tactics out over time (think just how many are still yet to come) since very few would of stuck around and continued depositing if they do all these at once in one VU.

Funny thing is, it doesnt cost MA anything to drop footguards for everyone. doesnt take $ from them one bit. On the otherhand it would take away from their artifically inflated "economy" (for lack of a better word), which would have a direct impact on deposits made, but the largest impact would be that there would not of been this historical influx in hunting that has happened over the last couple of months. Which in turn adds a historical amount of decay into the system as well as a historical mount of turn over...which they have always been very proud of on paper. ..and uh, all this just in time for the lead up to their IPO .

again, +rep to MA's creative manipulations...they have been 10/10 Hit and 10/10 Damage for some time now.

it's clear it would have been done fairly by just handing them out to everyone for free or enough would have been found in loot, so it must be the simple explanation - it was indeed beneficial to MA somehow. your versions support that idea perfectly, thanks!

I just can not understand how lame tactics can a online company use for that... I mean, do they really believe this will be not heard by masses of the internet?!? we all spread the information not only through mouth-to-ear, right? it's like 100% sure that every newcomer will get the information if not before logging in then definately in a very short time. jeez!
