Two things I would like to see in PE

1. Message board in most/all cities.
Which would soon fill with notes like "I am here every Friday 18:00 buying paints", "Looking for guy called BlahBlah, if You have seen him, please leave a note here", "Visit Jack's Barber at xx haircut only xx", "DungBoy was here"...

2. Possility to glue posters anywhere. This would propably require major additions to the core system.
On PA wall: "Don't sell iron LESS THAN 120%", "Selling space tickets, contact BlahBlah", "Don't clutter PA with unnecessary posters!".
On a sweating farm: "Rules and regulations to you morons: 1. If you agro a mob, DON't lead it to other players. 2. DO NOT kill undry mob. 3..."
On a tree in middle of nowhere a worn poster: "Jack's cafe at xxx", or "Do not feed my pet Arane".
Near oil rig: "Welcome to Oil Rig. Feel free to enjoy your stay. Thanks for visiting, have a nice journey to revival."

Notes/posters could decay after a fixed period, placing them might require a small fee (design, paper costs, whatever), or they could be limited to 2-3 /ava.

Just occurred to my mind.

1. Cameras
Could be crafted or looted, and a small 'tourist' version could be bought from TT. Would decay and would require film (also crafted or bought). Players could have a photo album in game which would allow them to show pictures to each other without the necessity of screen shots. This would make events more exciting and would provide lasting memories. New proffesion: Photographer. Photos could be used to promote PE in the real world and events could be held centered around taking pictures of unusual or unique mobs or places for the first time.

2. A better intro to the game when starting for the first time.
Perhaps a short lecture on the spaceflight from Earth covering some of the basics of life on Calypso. This could add a lot to the health of the game, since a lot of people just download the game and login with no clue of what to do. Also could have a basic survival kit, which could be bought on the ship if you have deposited. I believe this would lead to the retention of more new players, which only helps us all in the long run.

Ah, better #2, some kind of billboard system that allowed player merchants to advertise their business/locations ingame.

Ultima Online has craftable bulletin boards...but I do not think they are as popular as I thought they would be.

There is another MMORPG (can't think of the name off the top of my head) that lets you import jpg's and overlay them on posters, walls, etc. You had to pay for it, but it would certainly be another creative idea.

That same game played streaming music in people's houses or bars, etc...

Gosh...I wish I could remember the name of it...
