How will team be assigned in groups for stage 3 ?
IE : Team A will be the first team out from the qualifiers (top scorer). TeamD the 24 th Team E the 2nd and team H the 23rd Team I 3rd and team L the 22nd Team M the 4th and team P the 21st Team B will have clinched the 7th place in qualifier round and so on ? |

I believe the 24 successful teams are pulled out of a hat.
The top 6 teams of stages 1 and 2 (the seeded teams) will each be randomly assigned groups (A,B,C,D,E,and F). The then remaining 18 teams will also be randomly alotted groups. from there on in... it's mayhem Last edited by Clam Jamphrie; 02-07-2008 at 11:51. |

Awww
I would have prefered by far that all places would be assigned according to qualifier position otherwise this will create imbalance like ie : team #1, #7, #8 and #9 are in the same group while another group composed of team #6, #22, #23, #24. (I know these are extremes examples). Whis this method (the outta the hat method) all things beeing equal: Team #1, #7, #6 and #22 will advance to the next round and team #7 #8 and #9 will not (or they will need MUCH luck to overcome the fact that they were seeded in an over competitve group). The end result might be that it will not be the best team who advance to next round. But it is just my 2 pecs. Great event anyway ! ![]() |
