| A |
Auction: It is possible to trade items and
stackable items, with other players all over Calypso, via the auction,
placed in a small number of cities. There is a 1 PED fee to sell an
item via the auction.
Armour: Calypso is a
hostile world where you may be subject to attack from creatures and
players. Armour will help you defeating creatures and players as they
offer protection from various types of attack.
Amethera: Amethera is
the second, and one of the two habitable continents on Calypso.
Amethera is also the continent where the land area battles are held. (Land
grabs or LAB)
Ammunition: All ranged weapons will require
ammunition to work. This ammunition can be bought from the Trade terminal.
Amplifiers: It is possible to add an amplifier
to a large range of weapons, making them deal more damage.
Attachments: You can add attachments to your
ranged weapons and armor for improvement of their
statistics.
Avatars: Your avatar is your
virtual character in Project-Entropia. When your avatar is created upon
first login it can not be altered later. You create your own avatar in
never before seen detail.
Autorun: If you are
running great distances you may
prefer to let your avatar run on its own. This is done either by
double clicking in the sky while in "mouse pointer mode" or by setting a hotkey
for autorun. |

BLP weapons: BLP weapons work by firing projectiles
at the enemy. BLP often requires higher maintenance, but they also
deals more damage.
Blue prints: All avatars
can craft selected items provided they have the blue print for the item.
When crafting the avatar needs to stand infront of a Crafting machine
and have the minerals the desired blue print needs. |

Calypso: Calypso is the planet where
Project-Entropia was launched. Rumours of new planets and continents
are circulating.
Chatting: To chat with other
players you have two options. Either you can press enter and type you
message and press enter again. This will send out a message to all the
people that can hear you. The other option is to interact with a
person and select "chat".
Crafting: All
avatars can craft selected items provided they have the blue print for the
item. The process of crafting an item requires a blueprint, minerals
and a crafting machine. The avatar select the blueprint he/she wishes
to craft an item from. He/she then places the required minerals in the
crafting machine. The machine, depending on the players skill and
quality rating on the blue print, will then make the item thus
transferring the minerals into an actual usable
item.
Crafting machine: A crafting
machine can be found in almost all major cities on Calypso. It is used for
crafting items which can be used in
Project-Entropia.
Creatures: Calypso
is inhabited by a number of hostile creatures of whom a large portion
will attack you. You can defend your self by using
weapons.
Cities: There are a number if cities
formed all over Eudoria. Those cities will offer you protection with its
gun turrets should a creature approach. You can get from one city to
another provided you have the teleporter information from the City you
wishes to Teleport to.
Client loader: The
client loader is the gateway to Project-Entropia from the real world.
It will automatically update the game each time you enter the virtual
universe.
Crash To Desktop: This is commonly
known as "CTD". It happens when you system gets out of synchronisation
with the Project-Entropia server.

Deposit money: If you wish to deposit money into
the virtual universe it's made possible by the bank icon found in the
bottom part of your screen when you log in. Press the bank icon
(D) and follow the guide lines.

Economy: The economy of the virtual universe is
determined by the player. The Trade terminal automatically puts a price
tag on all items so the player can see what the Trade terminal think the
item is worth. The Trade terminal will offer less than players are
willing to pay though. There are a number of ways to sell an item to another
player, either by auction, participant run shops or direct trade with another
player.

the first, and one of
the two habitable continents on Calypso. |

Fast keys: When you are inside the virtual
universe there are the possibility to assign fast keys to your different
items. This is done by pressing "b" or clicking the "fast keys"
icon.
Friend list: Project-Entropia offers a
friend list where you can communicate with your friends even though you
aren’t within hearing range. To access your friend list you must press
"j" or clicking the "friends" icon. |

Hangar: There are several hangar placed all over
Eudoria. They are owned by players and they each have a space ship inside.
Hangars can be bought from the players or the Auction if new hangars
are built.
Help: To access the ingame help
panel press "h"
Houses: Some buildings on
Calypso are owned by participants and they have full control over those
buildings. Participants can set up shops on their property.
HUD: The HUD or "Heads Up Display" shows important information
about your avatar and interaction with other
participants.
Hunting: If you desire to hunt
animals on calypso you need a weapon to kill it. When you have killed
an animal you get loot from it which can be sold. |

Ingame help panel: By pressing "h" ingame a help
panel will emerge.
Ingame options: When you are
ingame there is a lot of custom settings which can be changed. To access
the ingame options press "o".
Improve game performance:
Free as many resources as possible on your computer. This
include lowering the color depth to 16 bit. Lowering resolution avatar
textures and Reduced visual effects. Low resolution icons.
Turning off sound.
Interact with other participants:
To interact with other participants you must stand close and
click on them with the right mouse button. |

LAB: Land area battle (Land grab) Battle for
pieces of land on the continent Amethera.
Lag: Lag is a combination of a number of elements.
Those elements consist, amongst others, of: Your connection to the
Internet. Your graphics card. Your hard disk. Your CPU.
When lag occurs it is usually occurring like this:
Your client enters a highly populated area. The server will then
send a large amount of data to your system, which tells your system how to
draw all the non-static models. This stress your CPU, graphics card and
hard disk causing lag. Another reason for lag is when your system has
to draw a lot of static models.For instance when you walk in a forest the
system is stressed due to the vast amount of models it has to
present.
Laser sights: If you add one or two
laser sights to your weapon you will increase your skill by a certain
percentage thus boosting your chances of a successful usage of the
equipment.
Laser weapons: The laser weapons
are using laser to kill the enemy. They have a low maintenance cost but
doesn’t deal as much damage as BLP weapons.
Lot
deed: You can own a part of the land on Calypso. If you own
any land you will have a lot deed to prove it. On you land you can set up
a shop.
Loot: Loot is the items dead creatures
offers to the player who kills the creature. If any city gun turret kill
the creature there is no loot on the creature.

Map: By pressing "m" ingame a map of your current continent will
emerge.
Melee weapons: Melee weapons doesn’t
require ammunition but they have a very high maintenance price.
Mining: When you mine for minerals you need a
detectonator, an excavator and a number of seismic bombs.All the equipment
for mining can be bought in the Trade Terminal.

The octagon is a boxing ring, found in selected
cities, where players can fight each other without fearing that creatures
will interfere.
Orange juice: Orange juice is slang for a newcommer. As a newcommer
you are wearing an orange jump suite, hence the name Orange
Juice or OJ.

Project Entropia Dollars: Project-Entropia uses its
own currency called Project-Entropia Dollars (PED). With PED's you can
pay for everything inside Project-Entropia.
Player versus
Player: There are several places on calypso where players can
harm each other. Those zones
are marked with a red circle on the map.
PED PED or Project-Entropia Dollars is the
currency in Project-Entropia. 10 PED equals 1 UDS.

Card The PED Card is your virtual credit card.

rating. This is a representation of your chances of success in crafting

Radar In
the Heads up display or HUD there is a radar placed at the far right hand
side. The red dots are alive animals, the green dots are humans,
the blue dots are dead animals, the yellow dots are team members and the
white dots are dead humans.
Repair terminal: When an item
is used it will wear down. By placing the item in the Repair Terminal and
repairing it the item will work better.
Rewival
terminal: When you die
in Project-Entropia you must use a rewival terminal to rewive your self.
This is done by clicking with the right mouse button on the rewival
terminal. |

Server maintenance: Project-Entropia is a massive
game where all the participants are forming the world in a real-time
environment. This means that items dropped will stay on the ground
until picked up, creatures will interact with players and enormous amounts
of data has to be processed by the servers.All of this has to be stored in
a database, which if just a single error occurs can get corrupt.The server
maintenance is there to update small parts of the code that runs
Project-Entropia and repair any part of the database which might not be
running at max capacity.
Scopes: You can add a
scope to you range weapon to get a better view of creatures far away
Skills: Skills represent your ability to use
an item. The higher skill you have, the better your chances are of using
the item efficiently.
Shop: A participant can
own a shop, provided the participant owns a lot deed to place the shop
on.
Society: A society is a group of people
who work together towards a common goal.
Space ship:
If you own a hangar you have a space ship, which will be used
to explore new planets.
Stackable items:
Stackable items are: animal hides, animal bones, ammo, minerals, paint
and money.
Storage: In each
large city there are a storage unit where u can store items you don’t use.

Tools: There are a number of tools available to
the participants. Those include Scanners, Mining Tools and Tailoring
tools.
Trade: To earn money in Project-Entropia
you can sell items to other players. This is done by opening a trade
with the player. Another possibility is to sell the item via the
Auction.
Trade Terminal: The Trade
Terminal (TT) is the system store. Here you can buy the basic equipment
and sell items to the system. |

Weapons: An essential part for surviving on Calypso
is the ability to fight for your life should a creature attack you. By
owning a weapon you can fight for your life. There are several
different kinds of weapons. Finding the weapon that suits you best can be
hard and you need to understand the different weapon systems.
Withdraw money: You have the possibility to
withdraw money from Project-Entropia. This is done by clicking the bank
icon in the bottom of the screen. |
