FYI: New EntropiaForum Theme - Page 2

Its updated, and the update has a new modern look. That's a plus.

I'm not the kind of person to give mindless feedback though, since that doesnt really help anything and makes me feel like a bobble-head doll.

So here goes:

Its very dark. Too dark, IMHO. The theme itself feels very heavy. My first impression logging on was that of a weight on my eyes, as if I had to lean in to read the text properly. This isnt the case (I'm not that old yet) but it was a psychological effect.

A dark background mixed with a lighter news/text/forum field would help to bring the text forward, make it visually pop, and thus make the site feel friendlier.

Also the background image is too symmetrical. I feel its trying to go for the same look as the splash screen when logging into EU. The magic of that particular screen is in its asymmetry.

Anyhow, I'm not trying to disparage. A change was made, and it was a good change. But like anything it takes a few versions to get it right. On none of my sites am I on any of my first 5 versions of the theme... they can always get better!

Will I be able to choose the old layout soon again?

thats the main reason I came back to EF.com and if that wont be possible I guess EF.com will become just another forum I rarely visit anymore...

too messy if you ask me I like it clean and thats what the old layout was

I kinda like it. But, whatever you do, keep the wireless template working at all times. I would be lost without it!

Is threre a way to switch back (individually) to the old appearance?

I liked the old style better than this one, it felt more "productive". Also less contrast, being nicer to the eyes.
